Happy New Year everyone. Let's start 2008 with some karate jokes!
To set a good example, here is the first:

An old grandmother brought her grandchild to a karate competition. Noting that the organiser seemed understaffed she approached the table. "Good morning," she said to the Director, "you look a little shorthanded. Anything I can do to help?" "Well yes, we are short of fighters for the under 90 kg division," the director replied. "Sorry," the grandmother said, "I don't know anything about karate." "That's OK" said the director. "We need referees, too."

So far many Pride fighters have come to the UFC and only 2 have had successes (Rampage Jackson and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira).

I have seen 4 factors so far that have stopped their domination.

1. The transition from a ring to a cage. The tactics are very different, example: you can use a cage to win a fighter more successfully with ground and pound.

2. CV, i feel that there are less breaks in a cage and some of the Pride fighters have been beaten because through "gasing" in a fight. In the ring once someone gets pushed out the fight is restarted from the middle allowing a very short break, but it still a break.

3. RULES:
A. In UFC unlike Pride you are not allowed kicks and Knees to the face on the ground allowed. So this gives the wrestler i.e. Randy Couture an advantage to just go for the legs when crawling on the mat, with no fear of being kicked.
B. However the UFC does allow elbows on the floor. Which some Pride fighters havent used before.

4. Pride had overtime round if the fight was close. A great rule which could have got rid of the UFC's sometime bad decisions.

Overview

Pride fighters have been under pressure debuting in the UFC, and havent yet had the feel of fans and more importantly the cage. Furthermore, alot of Pride fighters teams have split due to the Pride being taken apart by the UFC (Ramage realised this fact and trained at big bear with other great UFC fighters). With new training camps established and more cage experience we should see the best of the Pride fighters again.
Basically it the same as someone moving from Rugby league to Rugby union it, takes a while to adjust.

I really don’t know how he will come back. He would have destroyed Kongo 6 months ago. Kongo isnt even in the same league. It proves what Tito always says, the games is 90% mental.

It was a very sad moment for me to see Mirko fighting like a fish out of water. He has been a great fighter and hopefully will be again?

I found many of the techniques useful, example the age uki used as strike and choke, the soto uki used as destructive arm smashing technique.

However the Gendan Barai Uki which is claimed to be used as a throwing technique or lower block, especially in the way the technique is traditionally, is very hard to apply.

If anyone can show me a practical application where i can use it (using the real form, not a loss interpretation!) that would be great.

I have had great problems in increasing size and muscle definition on what is a largely tofu and chip diet and need as much help as possible to try to eventually take part in competition.

One day i hope to compete in Mr Olympia.

At the moment the circumference of my arms is 11 inches, my chest measures 28 inches, but alarmingly my waste is 38 inches!

I cant bare the thought of eating meat, but I feel my Olympia dreams are fading, please if anybody can help give me diet and training options.

I have been following the advice of a vegan bodybuilder in Lowestoft. He suggested reducing the number of reps, and increasing the weight used when training free weights. At the moment I am just doing one repetition per year on each bodypart, and even given this strenuous routine I have still not noticed any improvement.

Please if anybody can help post now!

Bloodlust tells the tale of D, a Dunpeal, half-human, half vampire bounty hunter who is given the task of rescuing a kidknapped girl from the clutches of an evil and all powerful vampire. Conventional plot you say? Indeed, but again kawajiri's fantastic characters and wonderfully designed action sec-pieces, make this one of the best action anime movies to date.

The opening kidknap sequence is beautifully constructed and gives a clue as to the quality of the artwork to come. Note the scene too where D's rival vampire hunters are set upon by an entire town of zombies. Love it.

I could spin on for hours about this but its a forum so I'll leave some space at the bottom for replies or abuse. But if you havent seen it dive in.

After a fight outside our local chip shop I was set upon by a number of assailents. Sadly for part of the fight they got the better of me and i received a kick to the rectum. In short I escaped the battle and drunkenly made my way home. Although I remembered the pain of the kick, I thought little of it and went to bed.

Imagine my horror upon waking to find myself transformed. Expecting the usual morning wood I checked the member only to discover the member was indeed aloft, but BENDING THE WRONG WAY. Can anybody lend any assistance? I have tried pulling the member toward vinegar but it refuses to settle into a flaccid state, and remains aloft but inverted.

I studied the symptoms on the internet. BDS or banana dick syndrome was discovered in 1999 by a Dr Steven Marla, a retired nuclear physicist, after becoming a sufferer himself after a boating accident. I recently contacted Marla who himself had found a cure but had recently had a relapse due to an unforseen overdose of viagra.

His cure proved to be unsuccessful. And as a result I am here trying to discover the whereabouts of any fellow sufferers, and any known cures.

Can you help?
