I have been studying the various blocks in karate for some time now and many other parrying techniques used in different styles.

I found many of the techniques useful, example the age uki used as strike and choke, the soto uki used as destructive arm smashing technique.

However the Gendan Barai Uki which is claimed to be used as a throwing technique or lower block, especially in the way the technique is traditionally, is very hard to apply.

If anyone can show me a practical application where i can use it (using the real form, not a loss interpretation!) that would be great.
All the basic blocks can be used as a block or a strike to the areas gendan barai could than be used as gidan to a hammer fist, outside formarm block soto ukei than can become a strike to the side of the jaw,uk standed as we start for gidan barai in lines and go in to kihon that is a very much a begginers way of looking at it as the kame there is no need to use gidan barai as a kame in basics instead go immediadtely in the basic block you are doing in kihon waza you will find clubs round the u.k do that theres no need.
